RE: New From Media Monitors

Media Monitors has just deployed some new product enhancements for those who work in Ad Sales and Research. We have also recently added some new enhancements to our Audience Reaction program service, which is used by radio programmers. All enhancements are effective immediately via the mediamonitors.com website.

Please read the following list of changes to the mediamonitors.com website along with a brief description of each new enhancement. Please familiarize yourself with each new enhancement and be sure click on the blue Help "?" found on any Media Monitors web page for a detailed explanation of these new service enhancements. There you’ll also find visual screen shots to better familiarize yourself with the functionality of each new enhancement. As always, please do not hesitate to contact your Media Monitors sales representative or our support/training staff should you have any questions.

For All Clients Who Subscribe To Our Radio, Broadcast TV, Cable or Newspaper Services:

New TV/Cable Promo Filter:
We’ve added a new filter that allows you to exclude TV/Cable Self-Promotion spots from our Advertising Expenditure and Share reports. By default, we will continue to display all Broadcast TV and Cable TV self-promos in your reports. However, you now have the option of filtering out self-promos before running your reports by clicking the new “Exclude TV/Cable self-promos” check box located on the lower left-hand side of the navigation pane.

New Pod Position Info:For Radio, Broadcast TV & Cable TV
We have added pod position information within the Ad Analysis, Share Report and Advertising Expenditure reports. Specifically, there are four new columns; pod number, pod position, pod size and pod placement. These new pod position columns are available in the Instance view of a report by clicking on any broadcast instance number in the "Instance" column. As a reminder, Media Monitors captures pre-recorded :30's and :60-second spots for Radio Stations and :15's, 30's and :60-second spots for Broadcast TV and Cable TV.

Important:
The only way for you to actually see the new Pod Position info is by requesting access through your Media Monitors sales executive. The complete list of Media Monitors sales executives and their assigned region is listed at the bottom of this letter. Upon request, your Media Monitors sales executive will license you at no additional charge to view this new information and take the time to explain its proper use.

Public Service Announcement Spots:
Media Monitors now captures PSA’s for Radio, Broadcast TV and Cable TV.
We’ve created a brand new ad category called “Public Service & Organizational Advertising”. You can now view PSA announcements in one of two ways; By simply sorting on the Category column header in your Analysis Report or by creating a Category Panel using the Ad Panel feature.

Coming Soon…Local Internet Spot Monitoring Service!

Coming Soon…Local Cable Advertising Expenditure Estimates!

For ALL clients who Subscribe To Our Audience Reaction & Mscore Programming Services for Radio:

Audience Migration Report:
New functionality allows you to toggle between day to examine (DTE) and Ave/Total Start/End dates. Once inside the migration report, you’ll see the new radio button options which allow you to toggle between your desired settings.

Mscore Switching:
Our software enhancement now allows you to clearly see the weekly switch value by placing your mouse on the top of each graphical peak when viewing the Mscore Switching graph. Remember to select the "display weekly switching" check box in order to view the weekly switch percentage.
